Phnom Penh (Sept 12, 2020): Y Chhe Group Co., Ltd. which is the leading construction equipment supplier in Cambodia brought food and hygiene kits as donation for 150 students studying at Dombok Meanleak Primary School located in Dombok Meanleak Village, Tumnub Thom Commune, Ponhea Lueu District, Kandal Province.
The donation event was initiated to help relieve some current actual difficulties of citizen suffered from the Covid-19 pandemic crisis and to encourage the students who just returned to their school to focus on their studying after the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports announced to allow Primary, Upper and Secondary Schools to resume their classes from September 7, 2020.
Each of the 150 students is donated a kit consisting of 10 Kg of rice and noodles, canned fish, soy sauce as well as face mask and sanitizer which is part of keeping hygiene to contribute to fighting against the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
Y Chhe Group Managing Director Te Vong Chhay stated “I am delighted and excited to see the smiling faces of the children. The donation event is demonstrating a big encouragement for the students to keep studying hard to build their future brightly.”
He added that “The donation is also part of contributing to promoting the educational sector in Cambodia because they are the successors of the old generation as they will be important driving and core forces to help to develop the country in the future.”
The event is just one of many Charity programs that Y Chhe Group organized so far as the company’s Sale Director Thong Heng said that “this is showing how we are grateful and repay our society. The difficulty of relief for our people by this donation is part of our core goals to contribute to developing the country.”’
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports announced to close both private and public educational institutions across the country on March 14, 2020 since a Covid-19 positive case was found at a private school in Phnom Penh. As of today, Cambodia found 274 positive cases across the country but all the cases have fully recovered so far.
Meanwhile, the Primary school director Eam Sokpenh told that “on behalf of the school, teachers, students, and students’ parents, I would like to thank to Y Chhe Group for their paying attention and help to relieve our students’ difficulties by this donation as well as their contributions to fight against Covid-19. I hope the company will continue this charity activity in the future.”
